EXPOSURE PROCESS
First, a light-sensitive layer is applied, and the negative is placed on the screen. During the subsequent exposure, the areas hit by the light harden, making the screen partially impermeable.
In direct comparison, we refine our hand-drawn ink drawings until they are an exact match
NEGATIVE CREATION
Using the screen-printing process , each individual color is applied to the paper one after the
other. At the beginning of the process, a hand-painted negative is created. This is how the
design is transferred onto translucent paper using black ink.

The process begins with a hand-painted negative of the wallpaper design. This is drawn by hand with black ink on translucent paper:

Screen printing process
During printing, each individual color is applied to the paper one after another. This can mean up to 72 printing passes. Thanks to an ingenious reel system, partially guided along the ceiling, the entire paper web can pass through and be printed on our production line by our "Julius," a screen printing machine developed by Messerschmidt in the 1950s.
In a coordinated process, the printing mechanics, with precisely synchronized movements from our team, work together to enable the high-quality printing process.
